Abstract: Since the 1990s, a new world order has been emerging, described as either unipolar or multipolar. A status quo was getting in place; however, during recent years, one could see a challenge to this status quo. While the US and Europe are trying to maintain the status quo, China is trying to question it. From the One Belt One Road to Indo-Pacific, there are new strategies to challenge/maintain the status quo.
The lecture tries to answer the following: What is the nature of global politics today? What is likely to be the world order in the 2020s and 2030s? Will the status quo continue? Will there be a transformation? Or, will the next two decades remain in transition?
