Management
The National Institute of Advanced Studies is an
autonomous organisation with three authorities for the overall administration
of the Institute. These are:

Council has full powers and authority on overall management according to the
Rules and Regulations of the Institute. The first Chairman of the Council was

The Holding Trustees include the Chairman of the Council of the Institute, a nominee of the Government of Karnataka, nominees of the Sir Dorbaji Tata Trust, Mumbai, the Director of the Institute and the Director of the Indian Institute of Science. The Trustees review periodically the overall functioning of the Institute.
